Heroes: Part

All I really did was the line art. I wanted to keep with scenes that had actually appeared in the comic, which was simple enough for our Heir up there.
I wanted to keep John a sort of silhouette, as I based this image on the latest update in which he was rising. After drawing Rose, I figured it would be a good idea to create a sort of contrast between the two in the fact that they would be facing opposite directions.
I couldn’t find any satisfying images of Rose falling in Homestuck, so I was left to imagine my own. I like the way the pose turned out, and especially the bit of her scarf that’s wrapped around her leg. I’m not sure if I should have drawn her so that her scarf was a bit lower, though.
So many things I was unsure of. I hope you guys like this collaboration, regardless of my line art flaws.

Okay we agreed to keep this as short as possible so I'm just going to make a list:
0) Poorlylit did an amazing job on the lineart and actually went above and beyond by sketching out an initial draft of the final product for me. He will be attempting to take less credit than he deserves and saying he made a bunch of errors. DO NOT BELIEVE HIM. HE DID GREAT.
1) I was in charge of the effects here: particularly John's rainbow and Rose's grimdark. I used fractals to create these effects and brought them all together in GIMP. Anybody wanting to know more can feel free to ask me anything.
2) Poorlylit and Mystie are both artists that I respect and admire greatly and I had fun working with them on this project. I STILL HATE YOU THOUGH, MYSTIE.

I basically just colored and shaded John and Rose here. To be honest I really don't think I did much since I'm terrible at coloring and Rose was probably my first successful lineless coloring ever even though I don't know whether it can be considered that because Poorlylit did the whole lineart thing. Um, this is just. I don't know. It's so pretty. Dalque makes everything so pretty.

And Poorlylit is a fantastic artist and bluuuuuuh. This was supposed to be short wasn't it? Whoops.
